The National Women's Soccer League

The National Women's Soccer League (USA) is a professional soccer league for women. The United States Soccer Federation manages the league and the teams own it. It was under a management contract with the United States Soccer Federation until 2020. The NWSL includes 12 teams and has a stadium at Seattle, Washington. The league has a website and players' associations. It is played at Seattle Sounders Soccer Park.

Each team plays 22 regular season matches, and the NWSL Shield is awarded to the top team. There are also playoffs. The six teams with the most points advance to the championship final. The lower-seeded players play single knockout matches during the first round. While the higher-seeded participants host single knockout games. The champions move on to the championship game at a site predetermined.

Although there have been rumors of expansion, nothing concrete has been confirmed. The league will remain as it is, and it is likely that there will be no expansion this season. Real Salt Lake and Indy Eleven expressed interest to join the league. Three men's teams from California have also expressed their interest. Although the league is open to new teams for 2016, no expansion plans were made.


Its players association

The Players Association were a New York-based studio. Chris Hills and Danny Weiss were previously part of the legendary fusion group The Grateful Dead. Their debut album, Vanguard Records' 1977 release, was an instant hit. The Ultimate Breakaway Weekend was hosted by The Players Association in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Olympic athletes Lance Armstrong, the United States Women's National Team, and Sheryl Crow joined them at Mandalay Bay Resort, Las Vegas. Anthony LaPaglia and Anthony LaPaglia also joined the Players Association for an exhibition featuring area youth soccer players from the University of Nevada. The Players Association held a benefit concert in support of the players, as well as the musicians.
