She has also been involved in softballs, swimming, basketball and golf. She has a brother Stephen, and a sibling Ashley. Before she went to Rutgers University, Delran High School was her first stop. There she earned her Bachelor's in Exercise Science. Brian Hollins was her high school sweetheart and she still lives in South Jersey.
Marta Vieira da Silva
Marta Vieira da Silva in Brazil is a professional footballer. She was conceived on 19 February 1986. She plays forward for the Orlando Pride of the NWSL and for the Brazilian national team. She has been named FIFA World Player of the Year six times, five of them consecutively. Marta is now the most prolific goal scorer ever in the history and evolution of the sport. Despite her remarkable achievement, Marta continues to be controversial and faces many controversies.
Homare Sawa
Homare Sawa, an ex-professional Japanese footballer, became one the most famous midfielders of all time with a career that spanned nearly twenty years. Sawa, who was born June 6, 1978, has played various positions in the Japan national team's football team. In fact, she is considered one of the greatest female footballers ever, having earned 205 caps. Sawa earned local fame playing for the INAC Kobe Leonessa as well the Nippon TV Beleza. She rose to fame during the 2011 World Cup, when she won a hat trick and helped the Japanese win a silver medal.
Vivianne Miedema
Vivianne Miedema joined the Dutch national football team in September 2013. Her 60 goals made her the second highest-scoring player in the league's history. Her impressive career has seen her play for a number of different clubs in the Netherlands, including Heerenveen. She scored 24 goals in the same number of games at the 2012/13 UEFA Women's European Championship. In 2013/14, she was part of a BeNe League side that finished second and she scored 41 goals over 26 games. Despite this, her name was not on the Ballon d'Or finalist list or FIFPRO world XI.
Megan Rapinoe
In addition to her incredible skill on the pitch, Megan Rapinoe is a powerful advocate for equality and social justice. She has sparred with President Donald Trump on Twitter and supports the taking the knee campaign against racial injustice. In September 2016, she took a knee during the national anthem during a match against Thailand. After the 2016 Olympics, she was removed from the team for kneeling during the anthem again.
Alex Morgan
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco of America is a professional soccer player. She plays as a forward and captains San Diego Wave FC, which is the highest division in women's pro soccer. She is also an American women's national soccer player. Morgan is the daughter of a successful football player and is currently pursuing a degree in sports medicine. Since she was young, Morgan has been involved in the community and has played soccer most of her adult life.
