Rose Lavelle is a Cincinnati-based player of soccer. At age 5, she began playing soccer in coed youth leagues of the YMCA. When she scored her first goal, she didn't smile or celebrate, but instead kept her cool and played the game on. Later she was a soccer player for several local clubs, including Cincinnati United Premier Soccer Club. She also played college hockey at the University of Wisconsin.
Lavelle grew in Cincinnati and attended Mount Notre Dame High School. Later she received a scholarship at the University of Wisconsin. Today, she plays for the Washington Spirit in the NWSL. Lavelle credits Cincinnati Soccer trainer Neil Bradford for helping her discover her love of soccer.

Lavelle has represented the United States women's national team at the youth and senior levels. She was named the Big Ten's top midfielder in November 2015. NSCAA later awarded her the honor of first-team All-American. Lavelle was also a member of the Dayton Dutch Lions W-League team in 2014, and the Seattle Sounders Women W-League team in 2015. Lavelle graduated college and joined Washington Spirit. She then returned to Dayton for the start of the 2016 Women's Premier Soccer League season.

Rose Lavelle has been a part of many community service programs at the university, while playing soccer for Badgers. She is a major participant in Wish Upon a Badger Experience, Women's Soccer, and the Thank-A-Thon as well as Youth Soccer Clinics and the Thank-A-Thon. She has been a brand ambassador for FLIGHT by Yuengling, a premium light beer.
She was a key player in the U.S. Women's National Team
Rose Lavelle is a native of Cincinnati, Ohio. When she was only 15 years old, Rose Lavelle became a crucial member of U.S. Women's National Team. She recently participated in the SheBelieves Cup, Czech Republic. Although the USWNT won the game 0-0 they outshot their opponents by 18-6. Rose Lavelle won the Budweiser Woman's Choice Award.

Lavelle sustained an injury in a friendly match against Australia on June 2017. After sustaining a hamstring injury in June 2017, Lavelle returned to the USWNT to play the final game. She displayed great creativity throughout the tournament and was highly praised by her teammates and coaches as a breakout performer.
Lavelle has been to the World Cup for the United States. She made her World Cup debut against Thailand but was unable to attend the match against Chile. She later returned against Sweden, helping the United States press its attacks.
