You may have seen some female golfers wearing very visible clothing if you've ever been to a professional tournament. Paige Spiranac was one of those players who wore a mini skirt while on the course, before the dress code was implemented. The LPGA was accused of body-shaming male golfers by criticizing this practice. The dress code is now no longer required.
Lexi Thompson
Alexis Noel Thompson is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. She was 12 when she became eligible for the U.S. Women's Open. She became a professional when she was 15 years old. She has since qualified for several other major championships. Her June 2016 victory in the LPGA was her first.

At the age of twelve, she was the youngest woman to ever play in the US Women's Open. By age sixteen, she was the youngest LPGA winner and had won her first tournament. At 20 years old, she has won multiple LPGA tournaments and is considered one of the world's most fit athletes. She practices for three hour, plays 18-holes, eats lunch, then works out with a personal trainer. In addition to the LPGA Tour, Thompson also donates her time to charities such as the Wounded Warrior Project.
Thompson was one the most popular players in the world in 2015. However, she had a difficult year in 2021. She was five shots ahead at the US Women's Open of 2021, but it wasn't enough. She has since won the LGPA Japan Tour and the Ladies European Tour. She is currently ranked 9th among the Rolex Player Rankings. She finished 17th in last spring's Lotte Championship, and 17th overall at the ANA Inspiration. She also missed an opportunity to win her second major event at the AvnetLPGA Classic.
Michelle Maguire
Leona Maguire was the first Irishwoman to win the LPGA Tour Drive On Championship in Florida. The 27-year old finished at -18, three strokes better than Lexi Thompson. Maguire opened the season with five birdies. She finished the final round tied for second with Marina Alex. To claim the title, Maguire birdied the 10th and 11th holes.
The 2020 season was mostly good for the Irishwoman. There were some low points at the beginning of the season. She missed 16 LPGA Match-Play events in May but rebounded to be her best during the summer. Maguire credits her success to many positive and negative experiences that she had. Positive experiences build confidence while negative experiences serve as reality checks.

Maguire was also a 2017-18 WGCA All-American Scholars. This is an honorable distinction given to student athlete who has demonstrated academic excellence and athletic excellence. Maguire was a captain, and the team MVP. In addition, she broke Lydia Ko's record of most weeks at the top of the World Amateur rankings. She was also named honorary recipient of the ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship, which recognizes exceptional student-athletes and their intention to earn a graduate degree.
