Revelations Cup
The U.S. Men's National Team's Revelations Cup Tournament will be held in Mexico by the USMNT on Wednesday. The tournament features four U-20 world-class national teams and is held over a period of 10 days. The tournament aims to bring fans close to some of the brightest emerging players and help rewrite sports history.
Varas and his team are having a difficult opening game in the Revelations Cup against Brazil. Varas, who was only hired in December, had just a few training sessions with the squad before the competition. The squad failed to register a single goal. Varas stated that his players were ready for any challenge and are striving to improve.
FIFA U-20 World Cup
The FIFA U-20 World Cup, a biennial football tournament open to male players aged under 20, is held every two years. FIFA organizes the tournament, which was held for the first time in Tunisia in 1977. It was known previously as the FIFA World Youth Championship. But it is now a well-known event. Qualifying from their youth championships will qualify teams for the tournament. The six groups are broken down into six categories. The tournament's first stage is decided by the top two teams in each group. The remaining 4 teams are eliminated.
Argentina has won the tournament six times, making them the most successful country in its history. Their last title was won in Canada in 2007. Others notable countries include Russia, England, Ukraine and Ukraine.
Olympic qualifying tournament for under-23 players
The Olympic qualifying tournament for under-23 players has been held every four years. This tournament is open to players aged under 23 and is not part of the FIFA World Cup. Each nation has three wild card exceptions to the age limit. The United States was eliminated from the tournament three times in the last four years. They lost to El Salvador (Canada), and Mexico. But, the United States was not required to forfeit any of its Under-23 players as they were already playing for their senior national team.
Brazil, Mexico, Canada, and CONCACAF will be the opponents of the U23 team in the group stage. Costa Rica will host the first group game on March 18. The next group game will be against Costa Rica on March 18. The knockout round will see the two winners advance to the finals.
Team USA vs Honduras u20
The Hondurans hope to make the most of their home advantage and qualify for Pre-World Cup. The Hondurans had a strong performance on the group stage and will look to build on that success in the CONCACAF U-20 qualifying rounds. The match is set to take place at the General Francisco Morazan Stadium, also known as La Bombonerita.
Honduras defeated Panama 2-1 in the last game. Marco Tulio Aceituno scored a brace in Honduras' 2-1 win over Panama. That match was won by the United States from beginning to end. The Hondurans are determined to keep their winning streak alive and defeat their rivals.
