They've won four Women's World Cup title titles, four Olympic golds medals and nine CONCACAF Gold Cups. Morgan, Lloyd and Alyssa Thompson are just a few of the most prominent players on the roster.
Morgan
Alex Morgan has been ruled out of two friendlies against England and Spain due to injury. Vlatko Andreinski, coach of the USWNT has released the 24-player roster. The matches are set for Oct. 7 in London and Oct. 14 in Pamplona, Spain. Both teams are qualified to compete in the 2023 World Cup of Australia.
Carli Lloyd
Carli Lloyd is one of the top goal scorers in US women's soccer history. She has three14 caps for the USWNT and can earn more if she plays both friendlies against South Korea. Her controversial career was marred by a split from James Galanis her longtime trainer and a major injury. She is also the highest-paid player in the women's game.

Alyssa Thompson
Alyssa Thomson is one the brightest American players. She has the technical skills and pace to defeat defenders. Her talent was discovered by coach Tracey Kevins, the head coach of the US women's Under-20 national team. Kevins recalls Thompson, 13, when she was scouting clubs in Southern California. She came across a forward she considered "brave" as well as "resilient" while scouting a club in Southern California. Today, Thompson is a member of the US women's national team.
Tobin Heatingh
Tobin Heath, a forward, was recently selected for the US women's soccer team roster. She is a standout soccer player, who has represented both the North Carolina Tar Heels (USA) and the United States. United States Soccer Federation called Heath "perhaps America's most talented soccer player". US Soccer named her Athlete-of-the Year in 2016.
Hope Solo
Hope Solo is an controversial figure in women’s soccer. Her legacy is complicated. One of the best goalkeepers ever, she's made 202 appearances for the U.S. team, and holds a record of 152 clean sheets. Solo's controversial personality has been a big talking point in the sport. Solo is known for her outspoken views.
Tobin Naeher
The United States women’s football team is currently in the final stages to qualify for the World Cup. Tobin Nasser was a surprise pick, but she's been a valuable member of this team. She played every minute and made four saves during the 2-1 victory over France. Naeher also saved Steph Houghton's attempt to score a penalty kick in the semifinals.

Tiffany McLeod
A recent controversy in the US women's soccer team's match against Canada has the Canadian players accusing referee Christiana Pedersen of bias. Pedersen issued a penalty for the United States to hold the ball in their penalty area in the 80thminute. Pedersen was also a former World Cup referee.
Megan Rapinoe
Megan Rapinoe is a constant presence for the United States women’s national team for more than a decade. The forward is a formidable player on and off of the field. She grew up in Redding, California, where she played volleyball alongside her twin sister and older brother. Rapinoe, who scored two goals for the United States at the 2012 World Cup, and another one in 2015, has been a huge success in recent times.
